Production cross-section calculations of some strontium isotopes via (p,x) reactions on natural abundance rubidium using different level density models

The cross-section, a measure of the probability that a nuclear reaction will occur, needs to be calculated properly. The level density model used in the computations is one of several factors which may affect the theoretical value of the cross-section in a nuclear reaction. In this study, it is aimed to investigate the influence of level density models on the cross-section calculations in the production of some strontium isotopes from the natural abundance of rubidium by proton induced reactions. To this end, calculations have been made by triggering the six level density models that can be used in the TALYS code, one after the other. To allow a visual comparison of the effects of the level density models, the obtained calculation outputs and the experimental results from the literature have been plotted together. Furthermore, numerical comparisons have been made with the calculated values of a deviation factor.
