Providing healthy workplace environment, thus, one of the basic components to achieve occupancy satisfaction. Pre-pandemic literature has dominated with researches investigating user well-beings on physical workplaces. Research on sick building syndrome has shown that poor indoor air quality due to toxins, contamination or inadequate ventilation could lead to a variety of physical health com- plaints. World Health Organization (Who) defines the health as “state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity”. Therefore, being healthy at workplace addresses social, mental and physical well-being of an individuals. Since the start of the pandemic, the physical workplaces have moved to electronic and virtual workplaces through virtual teams. Although there are variety of researches unveiling the user satisfaction upon working at home, these researches are related with physical workplaces where there were neither lockdown nor pandemic conditions at the time of investigation. Thus, literature has scarcity of research about both virtual workplace upon user well-beings at pandemic conditions which may have potentials to outcome further social and mental diseases. Current literature indicates that virtual workplace activities will continue to expand after pandemic, user well-beings at virtual workplace practices are needed to be investigated in order to re-gain the user satisfaction and employee productivity. Regarding the gap in literature, this study explores the impacts of virtual workplace upon user well-beings. | en_US |
