Abstract

Tarihi süreç boyunca farklı toplulukların ve kişilerin kendi çağlarında yaşadıkları önemli olayları ve yaşam pratiklerini bir sonraki nesile aktarma istekleri anıtları oluşturmuştur. Bulunduğu dönemin tarihini, kültürel değerlerini, sosyo ekonomik dokusunu bir sonraki nesile aktaran anıtlar, zaman içerisinde farklılaşan yaşam dinamikleriyle değişerek, bu deneyimleri de yansıtmaktadırlar. Tarihi belge niteliği taşıyan ve kültürel mirasımızın önemli öğeleri olan bu yapıların korunması gerekmektedir. Elmalı ilçesi tarihi süreç boyunca farklı uygarlıklara ev sahipliği yapmıştır. Anadolu’nun Türkleşmesiyle kentleşmenin görüldüğü Elmalı ilçesi, benimsediği kültürü günümüze kadar taşımıştır. İçerisinde barındırdığı camii, çarşı, hamam yapıları bu kültürün oluşumunun ve gelişiminin şahiti olan yapılardan bir bölümüdür. Elmalı’nın kentsel kimliğinin yaşatılabilmesi, sahip olduğu kültürel değerlerini yansıtan mimari mirasın korunmasıyla yakından ilgilidir. Tez çalışması kapsamında, Elmalı ilçe merkezinde bulunan, tescilli ya da tescilli olmayan ya da günümüze kadar gelemeyerek yıkılan anıtsal yapılar incelenecek ve koruma sorunları belirlenecektir.
